Privacy Notice
Hovione is committed to protecting the privacy of its candidates and of the users of its digital platform. In this context, Privacy Notice has been prepared to demonstrate its commitment and respect for the rules of privacy and protection of personal data.
- Personal data collected and processed:
When filling in the platform and submitting his/her application, the candidate shall provide the data strictly necessary for the respective ongoing recruitment process. Hovione only requests the provision of relevant data for recruitment purposes, excluding any other type of personal data not related to the purpose in question. In the recruitment process there are no decisions taken through automated means, including profiling.
The personal data collected concerned are the following:
- First Name;
- Last Name;
- Email;
- Mobile Phone;
- Address (Country, City, Postcode).
- Purposes of data collection:
The personal data collected shall be used and processed only for the purpose of evaluating candidates within the scope of a recruitment procedure, provided that the procedure is under way, for the purpose of recruiting, conducting classification procedures and selecting candidates. In case of selection, applicants may be asked for additional personal data, which are necessary for the execution of the contract and for the mandatory transmission of data to official entities, as well as for the purpose of human resources management at Hovione. The personal data collected, without prejudice of the recruitment process for which the candidate has provided such information, may be used for statistical purposes in an anonymous way, making it impossible to identify the respective holders.
- Person responsible for processing personal data:
The controller of the personal data in question is Hovione FarmaCiência, S.A. and Affiliates, Collective Person no. 500135495, with registered office at Qt S.Pedro, Sete Casas, 2674-506 Loures.
- Contact:
Hovione has a designated contact who provides information, when requested by the personal data holders, about the rights and issues concerning the processing and protection of personal data, in compliance with the applicable regulations, being a point of contact between the data subject and Hovione, as well as with the supervisory authority (Portuguese Data Protection Authority - CNPD). Any contact with such designated contact should be made through the following e-mail address: GC@hovione.com.
- Treatment and storage of personal data:
The personal data collected within the scope of the platform in question are stored in a database of exclusive access to Hovione’s employees participating in the process of ranking and selection of candidates. Statistical results, obtained from anonymized personal data, may be used outside the scope of Hovione recruitment.
- Access to personal data
Personal data provided by candidates for the above mentioned purposes will only be accessed by Hovione employees participating in the ranking and selection process, who are subject to specific confidentiality duties for the access to such personal data. Hovione has also implemented an access control register, being that there is a segregation of profiles to the access to information in Hovione's computer system.
- Rights of the personal data holder:
The data holder, under the terms of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), enjoys the following rights in view of the protection of his/her personal data with the controller:
- Of access: to obtain information regarding the processing of their personal data, as well as a copy of such data;
- Of rectification: to correct and update any inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
- Of erasure: erasure of personal data to the extent permitted by law;
- Of Restriction: to limit the processing of personal data;
- Of Opposition: to oppose the processing of the data for reasons connected with the situation of the user. Having the absolute right to object to the processing of data for direct marketing purposes, including profiling related to such marketing;
- Of withdrawal of consent: possibility to withdraw consent previously given;
- Data portability: where legally applicable, the right to have previously provided personal data returned to you, as well as those transferred to third parties where technically feasible;
- Not being subject to automated decisions: the possibility of not being subject to a decision taken exclusively on the basis of automated processing.
The withdrawal of consent previously given by the holder of the personal data, in compliance with the provisions of Articles 7 and 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), does not affect the lawfulness of the process carried out based on that prior consent.
- Procedure for exercising the rights:
The data holder, in order to exercise the rights set out in the previous paragraph, shall contact Hovione by the email GC@hovione.com, or by registered letter addressed to the General Counsel of Hovione, located at Sete Casas 2674-506 Loures Portugal. The exercise of the rights is free of charge, except if the request is manifestly unfounded or excessive or unjustifiably repeated, in which case a reasonable fee may be charged considering the costs. A response to a request shall be provided without undue delay within one month of receipt of the request unless the request is particularly complex or occurs in exceptional circumstances. This time limit may be extended up to two months where necessary, considering the complexity of the request and the number of requests received. As part of your request, you may be asked to provide proof of your identity to ensure that personal data is only shared with the data holder. If you so wish, you may also lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD).
- Conservation of personal data of the candidates:
The personal data collected by Hovione within the scope of the aforementioned purposes shall only be stored for a period corresponding to one year, since such personal data may be considered as outdated after one year. At the end of the referred period, Hovione will proceed to the destruction of such data, keeping only the data necessary for statistical purposes, provided they are anonymized, and it is impossible to identify their owner.
- Transfers of personal data outside the European Economic Area
Personal data is transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area, namely to the United States of America.
Such transfers comply with the latest indications issued by the European authorities, namely, they are only made under standard contractual clauses approved by the European Union for the transfer of such data to third countries.
