You will be responsible to:

The IT Laboratory Systems Engineer is responsible for the installation, configuration, validation, and ongoing maintenance of laboratory IT systems (e.g., CDS, LIMS, ELN, LES, instrument control software) to ensure reliability, compliance, and efficiency in laboratory operations. The role bridges IT and laboratory functions, supporting scientists and analysts with technical expertise, troubleshooting, and system improvements.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide technical support to Laboratory Systems;
  • Demonstrate knowledge of laboratory informatics platforms (e.g., Empower, LIMS, ELN, CDS).
  • Should have experience with GxP compliance, validation practices, and regulatory requirements (21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11).
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server, databases (SQL/Oracle), networking, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Experience integrating lab instruments with IT systems.
  • Familiarity with programming languages and databases
  • Install, test and configure software;
  • Control and Maintain daily performance of computerized systems;
  • Walk through problem-solving process with the suppliers;
  • Interact with infrastructure team to resolve technical problems with networks and other systems
  • Develop code and test small pieces of software

We are looking to recruit a Candidate:

  • Technical education in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Equivalent professional experience in supporting laboratory IT systems will also be considered.
  • 2+ years of experience in IT support, preferably in pharma, biotech, or regulated laboratory environments.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
