Coordinates inbound and outbound logistical operations being accountable for the imports and exports of goods and also information flows supporting these operations. Manages inventory, warehousing operations, regulate warehouse space, including reception, pathway, sampling, dispensing and arrange shipments, and local transportation to ensure an efficient supply of goods. Administers an effective system that meets the organization’s inventory targets through efficient and transparent flow of information and materials, including raw materials, intermediates, finished products and spare parts.

- Implement the Health, Safety and Environment Policy in the warehouse and the HSE operational program

- Verify that activities and operations performed in the warehouse are aligned with HSE practices, conducting controls over goods and human resources

- Verify cGMP compliance on the areas within his control

- Verify that the quality policy is followed by the warehouse teams

- Maintain the departmental IOPs updated and their execution within the area

- Verify that the shipments are prepared according to the schedule

- Verify that stocks are under proper storage and control, conducting controls over goods

- Verify that required materials quantities for production and internal clients are provided as per schedule

- Implement new warehouse processes and methodologies according to guidelines

- Analyze warehouse and logistics data, producing reports to optimize resources and procedures for continuous improvement.

- Follow customer and authorities audits and inspections and implement needed changes as requested

- Collaborate in the investigation of incidents and propose corrective actions/preventive actions for deviations

- Collaborate in the training of warehouse teams, proposing contents and delivering training sessions when required

- Ensure all assigned tasks are properly planned and delivered on time, safely, efficiently, reliably and in a cost-effective manner

- Propose improvements to the area as appropriate and solve problems

- Make quality and timely decisions within the warehouse tasks under her / his responsibility

- Gather relevant data to inform the decision makers regarding complex issues

- Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions, and to comply with environmental, health & safety rules/procedures, regulations and codes of practice.

- Execute professional activities in compliance with GMP, GDP and HSE guidelines, internal and external requirements as well as promote the implementation and maintenance of Hovione´s policies, systems and procedures (COPs, HBR, SOPs and others).

- University, or equivalent, qualification in Business Administration, Logistics, or similar field (mandatory)

- Typically requires 3-5 years of relevant experience in warehouse management in chemical industry (B2B)

- Significant experience of working in a fine chemicals or pharmaceutical production environment

- A very strong understanding of cGMP and GDP regulations

- Strong understanding and knowledge of logistics operations

- Working knowledge of SAP and/or other inventory management systems

- Must have the Knowledge, Experience and Skills to conduct their tasks in accordance with the rules and procedures set down.

- Fluency in English is a requirement

- Computer literate with good working knowledge of the MS Office package
