This role is responsible for leading engineering and maintenance activities within an operations, production, construction, or industrial environment. Acting as a key member of the Engineering function, the role ensures the effective delivery of asset lifecycle management, team leadership, and operational excellence while maintaining full compliance with regulatory, safety, and GMP requirements.

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, coach, and develop team members (TMs), including recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management in line with company HR policies
• Translate business objectives into clear departmental and individual goals
• Foster a high-performance culture aligned with company values, ensuring team engagement and motivation
• Conduct performance reviews, define development plans, and manage underperformance in collaboration with HR
• Identify high-potential employees and support succession planning and career progression

Operational Excellence & Delivery

• Plan, manage, and execute engineering and maintenance activities following asset lifecycle management principles
• Develop and implement annual master plans, including budget, resources, and success metrics
• Ensure delivery of all area KPIs and continuously monitor performance
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies, challenging current practices, and increasing productivity
• Manage outsourced contractors and service providers to meet site requirements

Technical & Compliance Oversight

• Ensure equipment and processes comply with all applicable local, national, and industry regulations
• Guarantee adherence to GMP requirements and internal standards (SOPs, COPs, HBR, etc.)
• Promote and maintain a strong EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) culture
• Define technical competency requirements and implement training plans

Budget & Resource Management

• Own and monitor departmental budgets, tracking deviations and implementing corrective actions
• Optimize resource allocation to meet operational and financial targets

Education & Experience

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation, or related field)
• Proven experience in industrial maintenance or engineering environments (preferably pharmaceutical, chemical, or food industry)
• Experience leading teams, ideally in project or operational contexts

Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Solid understanding of engineering principles, regulations, and industry standards
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Experience managing processes, tools, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results and exceed targets
• Fluent in English
